A Federal Design Engineer’s main function is to provide presales support by acting as a technical consultant to the sale force, generating functional system descriptions, block flow diagrams and equipment lists to enable generation of customer proposals. This role is also leveraged by the post sales team for project engineering and or ongoing project consultation. In addition, a Federal Design Engineer is expected to review and validate the work of Fed-capable Design Engineers operating at the local/branch level. This position is REMOTE with preference given for NOVA (Northern Virginia) applicants.
Job Summary

The Installation Technician 1 will perform installation tasks on AVI-SPL contracted projects including, but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components, rack systems and metal fabrication per project directives and requirements, coordinating with lead Technician ensuring projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements.
The AVI-SPL Field Service Engineer will work in partnership with the Global Helpdesk AVI-SPL Sales and Engineering and other Field Service technicians to provide Service support for customers at onsite locations with the end goals of restoring functionality to our customers' assets while delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.
This role is responsible for the final testing and commissioning of complexed Audio-Visual systems during and post build. This position will also provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments as well as establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager to provide documented test result from system testing and commissioning.
