Job Summary:
The Director of Marketing Communications (MarCom) will lead the strategy, development, and execution of all marketing communications initiatives to strengthen brand awareness, engage target audiences, and drive business growth. This role ensures consistent, compelling messaging across all internal and external channels while collaborating closely with cross-functional and regional teams including Revenue Marketing, Field Marketing, Brand Marketing, Sales, and Corporate Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing communications strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Lead brand messaging, positioning, and voice across internal and external channels.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on communications and marketing initiatives.
- Team Leadership & Management
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a high-performing MarCom team, including content creators and communications specialists.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for the team.
- Foster collaboration across product and revenue marketing, sales, and corporate communications teams.
- Brand & Messaging
- Ensure consistent, compelling brand messaging across digital, social, PR, and events.
- Oversee content strategy, including website, blogs, thought leadership, case studies, and social media.
- Lead the creation of corporate collateral, executive presentations, and internal communications materials.
- External Communications & PR
- Develop and execute media relations strategies to enhance brand visibility.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and media partners.
- Oversee crisis communications and ensure timely, accurate messaging externally.
- Marketing Programs & Campaigns
- Plan, execute, and measure integrated marketing campaigns across channels.
- Align communications strategies with demand generation, lead nurturing, and sales enablement efforts.
- Collaborate with field marketing to ensure proper content is being shared with target audiences.
- Monitor and report on marketing communications performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage MarCom budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Evaluate tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance communications and marketing effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with executive leadership, product teams, and sales to ensure aligned messaging.
- Support employee communications and internal engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and leading cross-functional teams, including designers, brand managers, social media specialists, and field marketing teams.
- Strong experience collaborating with campaign management, revenue marketing, and communications positions to align messaging and ensure consistent execution.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.
- Experience with PR, media relations, content strategy, digital marketing platforms, and brand stewardship.

Location & Travel:
- This position is preferably based in Tampa, FL.
- Remote work is an option for the right candidate, with monthly travel required to support on-site meetings, events, and cross-functional collaboration.
