WHAT YOU’LL DO

 

The Warehouse Manager for an AVI-SPL Quality Control Center will provide overall leadership and strategic direction for daily operations, ensuring all activities align with company goals and drive operational excellence. They will be responsible for building and developing a high-performing team by directly working alongside them, setting clear expectations, coaching, and holding team members accountable to deliver results. QCC facilities are a new and evolving aspect of AVI-SPL, so the Warehouse Manager will need to showcase their previous experience in designing, implementing, and refining warehouse processes and workflows that enable successful launches and ongoing optimization. Collaboration will be key, as the role will work closely with Operations, Logistics, Project Management, and Engineering to anticipate needs, remove barriers, and support seamless execution of customer and project requirements.

This role will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, staging, order preparation, quality control, and shipping, with a constant focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. By developing performance metrics and evaluating operational data, the Warehouse Manager will contribute to making informed decisions that improve productivity, cost control, and service levels while maintaining accurate documentation across ERP and warehouse management systems. Safety, compliance, and continuous improvement will remain central priorities in cultivating a culture of accountability and operational discipline.

Additionally, the Warehouse Manager may assist in managing vendor and partner relationships through specialized purchasing programs, ensure facility readiness and equipment reliability, serve as the primary point of escalation for operational challenges within the warehouse, and make sound decisions to resolve issues quickly. Beyond managing day-to-day functions, the Warehouse Manager will champion process improvement strategies and best practices to standardize operations collaboratively across multiple QCC facilities as the program scales. Ultimately, this role will ensure the Quality Control Center operates as a best-in-class warehouse environment that supports AVI-SPL’s long-term growth and success.

 

 

Day-To-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Lead day-to-day warehouse operations at the Quality Control Center with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and alignment to company standards.
  • Develop and manage a team through coaching, setting clear goals, and driving accountability for performance and safety.
  • Establish and refine workflows that support QCC warehouse operations, ensuring processes adapt as the facility grows and matures.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional groups to anticipate operational needs, solve problems quickly, and support project delivery.
  • Oversee receiving, inventory management, staging, quality control, and shipping preparation, ensuring consistency and compliance across all activities.
  • Track operational metrics and use data to make informed decisions that improve productivity and cost control.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates within ERP and warehouse systems to maintain inventory visibility and reporting integrity.
  • Maintain facility readiness, including upkeep of equipment, adherence to safety requirements, and compliance with company policies.
  • Build relationships with partners and service providers to keep warehouse operations running smoothly.
  • Act as the escalation point for operational challenges, exercising sound judgment to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and best practices.
  • Support the broader development of QCC operations, contributing to scalable solutions that can be applied across future facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.
  • This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

Must-Haves:

  • Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing warehouse teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong operational expertise with the ability to design, implement, and improve warehouse processes that balance efficiency, accuracy, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills with the ability to analyze data, anticipate challenges, and implement effective solutions under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, including executives, peers, and frontline staff.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to represent the QCC Warehouse in a professional manner to clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • High level of adaptability and resilience to lead through ambiguity and change, particularly in a new and evolving facility environment.
  • Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and quality control practices, with a demonstrated ability to apply best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Must be able to pass and complete internal forklift certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards.

 

Nice-To-Haves:

  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Safety certifications (minimum OSHA 30, First Aid/AED/BBP preferred).
  • Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
