Description

The Learning Management Administrator will oversee the company-wide Learning Management System and is responsible for the overall configuration system administration and maintenance of the LMS. This role will also provide content curation ensuring that learning objects are well organized current and archived when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the LMS system administration functions including the set-up of user accounts, security permissions, learning profiles and notifications to ensure that appropriate learning is delivered to the target audience.
  • Conduct content administration for onboarding events, large scale course deployments, role-specific curricula, and external training courses and certifications.
  • Partner with the L&D team to design the structure and maintain the content housed in the LMS system by uploading new content, creating assessments/evaluations, converting various file extensions and troubleshooting online content for end-user consumption.
  • Assist the L&D Team in applying knowledge of the LMS application to develop and execute learning solutions. Analyze and recommend best practice solutions to any requests or related issues with LMS system and learning activity configurations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to standardize, streamline and coordinate processes to maintain accuracy and data integrity within LMS
  • Provide reporting on training progression and completion, student usage, and run ad-hoc reports and/or queries and analyze data to meet business needs.
  • Moderate learning events via Teams or other platforms that can be later uploaded into the LMS for future access, including LMS Onboarding events for new employees.
  • System and learning activities setup, security, workflow, schedules and maintenance
  • Analyze and identify LMS system and business requirements; identifying trends, patterns and opportunities for business process improvement. Work with LMS provider to evaluate system upgrades, communicate new LMS functionality and features.
  • Serve as liaison between employees and technical resources; escalate issues through the proper channels and work with escalation point person to achieve issue resolution.
  • Maintain an L&D project log by adding, updating, and completing all entries that pertain to LMS related assignments.
  • Other duties assigned as needed

 

Must-haves:

  • Direct, recent experience with LMS or LCMS systems; familiar with course set-up, assignment, system maintenance, reporting and administration.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate objectives, activities and results.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to diagnose and solve problems.
  • High energy professional with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships across departments to drive initiatives and change.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Highly self-motivated individual who is action-oriented; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite applications and web conferencing software such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong Project Management skills and the ability to plan, organize and successfully coordinate multiple priorities to meet all deadlines and deliverables.
  • Highly self-motivated individual who is action-oriented; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or relevant experience with required software experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years LMS management/administration or similar related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging modern Talent or Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience operating in a complex matrix business environment.
  • Experience with HTML, SQL, Power BI, Smartsheet, Microsoft Access, SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.
