- The ServiceNow Application Architect is responsible for supporting the overall health, stability and optimization of the platform, third-party applications and integrations. They play an important role in the discovery and design of new features, application security and promoting data stewardship. They work closely with the Platform Development manager and cross-functional teams, to develop and support the overall ServiceNow Platform strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Responsible for initial approval of technical designs impacting the platform, integrations and installed packages.
- Communicates directly with stakeholders, internal and external, to gather requirements and demo applications and features. This includes analysis of business process, problem definition and conceptualization.
- Articulate system design considerations, benefits, tradeoffs, and recommendations for a security and sharing model.
- Assesses the architecture environment and requirements and designs sound, scalable, and performant solutions on the Lightning Platform as it pertains to enterprise data management.
- Design a security and sharing model based on complex requirements.
- Collaborates with the Platform Development Team and SMEs in establishing a level of effort for projects and features.
- Serve as an escalation point for developers and administrators, guiding them in developing fixes for bugs as well testing and aiding in code checks.
- Promote change management and data stewardship within team and across the business.
- Assist in the mentoring of administrators and developers on coding best practices, software development utilities and resources, including continuing education, certification preparation, researching and adopting latest features and technologies.
- Serve as a technical lead on implementations, promoting timely, efficient and elegant solutions.
- Log, track and manage issues, bugs and enhancement requests in an Issue Management System.
- Author technical documents and maintain technical library as needed, and/or assist Technical Writer in the creation and management of these documents.

- Strong oral/written communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Prior experience managing a development team with demonstrated ability to deliver on time
- Understanding of systems interfacing with ServiceNow e.g. D365 other third party applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for driving strategic initiatives through large and diverse organizations. Excellent customer service skills.
Education and/or Experience |
- ServiceNow Application Architect Certification (required)
- Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide API HTML,CSS), UI policies, business rules, and client scripts
- Experience assessing customers' requirements regarding data quality needs and creating solutions to ensure high-quality data (for example, no duplicates, correct data) and can also recommend organizational changes to ensure proper data stewardship.
- Experience communicating solutions and design trade-offs to business stakeholders.
- 5+ years working with Data Architecture
- 2+ year experience working with ServiceBridge
- 2+ years working with Integrations
- Associates, Bachelors or Certification in Computer Programming or Cybersecurity a plus but not required for consideration
