Description

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct QCC Handoff/Technical Kickoff Meetings to understand project technical requirements to be able to communicate these effectively to QCC staff.
  • Work with project managers and engineers to reinforce QCC Process and Quality Management Plan documentation and deliverable requirements to maintain efficiency and consistency goals.
  • Reviews Quality Management Plan KPI’s and recommends appropriate improvement measures as needed.
  • Assists QCC Leadership in identifying and mitigating risks to project schedules and success.
  • Recommends improvements to existing quality control process to increase efficiency, velocity, and consistency.
  • Continually reinforce AVISPL technical standards and playbook processes to ensure technician work product meets project requirements.
  • Recommend specific process enhancements and changes with the goal of reducing process overhead and increasing project success.
  • Assist in support efforts related to AVI-SPL’s Quality Control Center Process and Quality Management Plan.
  • Coordinate with engineering staff to resolve issues around fabrication and pre-deployment configuration of AV Systems and Equipment.
  • Assist QCC leadership in managing timelines, deliverables, and communication for QCC related projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and fabrication standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues that impact QCC operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to technicians on quality control and management practices.
  • Participate in project specific lessons learned discussions to solicit feedback on QCC performance to determine areas for process improvement or additional training and development.
  • Conduct technical or safety training on relevant and specific topics.
  • Participate in meetings with sales and engineering teams to understand new products and solutions and determine action items or process improvements needed to support.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of technical aspects of business/industry, trends and changes.
  • Travel to assist in the initial setup and buildout of a Regional Quality Control Center.
  • Travel to regional offices or customer jobsites to directly interface with team members as needed.
  • Special projects as required.

 

 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

Must Haves:

 

 

  • Ability to develop and execute detailed test plans and Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Understanding of and experience in functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Outstanding AV technical acumen and familiarity with control systems programming.
  • Ability to recommend and implement process improvements based on QA findings.
  • Strong attention to detail in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects.
  • Competency in writing technical documentation and QA reports.
  • Ability to understand and leverage existing company systems to provide project specific solutions.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot AV system and signal chain issues.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Ability to negotiate conflicts and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and installation teams.
  • Detail oriented and organized with a quality driven mindset.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance or Engineering within the AV industry.

 

Nice-to-Haves:

  

  • CTS-I / CTS-D Certification preferred.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green belt (or higher) certification preferred.

This pay range represents the base salary for this position. Actual compensation within the range will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, and location.
