WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Head of Production is responsible for overseeing the entire production process within the Internal Meeting and Events (IME) team, ensuring that meeting and events are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, extensive production knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills. Responsible for the daily operations of multiple auditorium spaces, multipurpose spaces, and conference rooms, along with coordinating offsite meetings to ensure seamless operations and effective communication across all production activities
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement process and strategies aligned with needs of the clients
- Oversee the production process, from scheduling, and planning to execution.
- Ensure that production meets quality standards and adheres to timelines.
- Manage and mentor the production team, provide guidance and support, hold the team accountable for executing according to standards.
- Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures.
- Quality data assurance – Ensure the data entered by the production team is accurate and provide detailed reporting/metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Real Estate and Facilities, Conference Service Lines, Catering, Communication Teams, External Agencies, Event Planners
- Identify and resolve production issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand.
- Report on production performance and recommend improvements
- Ensure budget reconciliation and client chargebacks get tracked appropriately post-event
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in production management, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a production management role.
- Proven track record of managing production processes and teams.
- Strong understanding of production technologies and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Superior problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a similar industry.
- Proficiency in production management software.
