WHAT YOU’LL DO

 

The Onsite Maintenance Technician will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience. 

 

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

 

  •  Provide technical assistance for assigned projects through installation and completion
    • Review project Scopes of Work (SOW) to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs
    • Review/assess engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan) drawings, calculations, acoustical
    modeling as needed
    • Identify and address technical or logistical impediments to delivering scopes of work
    • Provide technical support to project installation team when requested by customer team
    • Provide timely project updates for/to assigned customer’s engineering team
    • Test integrated systems or perform troubleshooting when needed and requested by customer
    • Scrub/Approve equipment related to assigned projects
    • Support customer’s engineering team in project hand-off to the installation team when needed
    • Review project designs created by internal and external resources when necessary
    • Review field and shop red-line drawings to provide necessary feedback to AVI-SPL engineers
    • Provide on-call support to retail staff & AVI-SPL Help Desk team when assigned by customer
    • Other duties assigned as needed by customer’s Digital Experience Engineering Team

 

Items to Consider:

 

  • AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.
  • This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

Must-Haves:

 

  • Communicate and interact with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and
    timely manner
    • Proven business writing skills
    • Proficient with test and calibration equipment
    • Support user acceptance testing
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic audio visual systems
    • Ability to assist in diagnosing complex system problems
    • Advanced computer skills as required for the configuration, and operation of AV equipment
    • Ability to work and think independently and to ensure the capability to meet deadlines
    • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, colleagues and partners
    • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL and customer’s driving
    standards

 

Nice-To-Haves:

 

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
• Minimum two years of AV experience is required
• A four year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experienc

    • AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals
    • Crestron Professional Installation
    • Exton AV Associate Certification
    • AVIXA Quick Start to the Audio-Visual Industry
    • AVIXA CTS General Certification
