WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Electrical Manager, you will lead and oversee all electrical aspects of assigned projects, from planning and installation through supervision and final sign-off. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills, as you will interact frequently with clients and collaborate across departments. The Electrical Manager works closely with Engineers and Installation Supervisors (or Lead Installers) to ensure every project requiring power is executed efficiently and successfully. You will be accountable for ensuring that all quotes are accurate, comprehensive, and completed on time, and that all electrical projects are delivered to the highest standards. In addition, this role provides leadership for the electrical team and serves as the qualifying party for the Arizona ROC commercial and residential electrical contractor’s license.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Maintain expert level understanding of details and requirements for each project and determine the proper scheduling and manpower loading of the right resources for each job through Assistance Project Management staff
- Adhere to all AVI-SPL standards in place and be involved in actively maintaining and updating the standards as needed
- Prepare comprehensive sales quotes for all Electrical business opportunities
- Ensure all required electrical equipment is on hand prior to the start date of a project
- Track labor and monitor electrical profitability of projects
- Coordinate any electrical change orders with the appropriate Project Manager
- Coordinate necessary close-out documentation with the Assistant Project Manager for each project
- Ensure all electrical workers are trained to safely install per National Electric Code and adhere to our safety standards
- Perform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
- Proven field history with a strong background in customer relationship management.
- Demonstrated dedication and experience managing client relationships.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of:
- National Electric Code (NEC)
- Estimating processes
- Job scheduling
- Job costing
- Company proprietary software
- Ability to pass all Arizona State licensing exams and maintain status as the qualifying party for the company's contractor’s license.
- Familiarity with both sales and internal operational processes.
- Strong ability to relate equally to installation services, internal teams, and customers.
- Responsible for conducting safety training related to electrical work.
- Must develop and maintain a published emergency action plan.
Nice-To-Haves:
- Ability to manage the Project Management, System Design & Engineering, and Field Engineering processes from start to finish.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure timely and accurate project quoting.
- Attention to detail to guarantee each project is quoted correctly and supported with appropriate documentation.
- Capability to provide installation teams with complete and accurate documentation for successful project execution.
- Proven ability to manage projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and result in client satisfaction.
- Skilled in coordinating and aligning cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
- Experience contributing to process standards and strategic development within the department.
