WHAT YOU’LL DO
Job Summary
This position is for onsite audio/visual (AV) assistance only and is focused on completing daily checks of customer technology – primarily, but not limited to, conference room spaces. The assignment is at one customer location, is 100% onsite, and requires business casual attire appropriate for a professional work environment. Primarily looking for someone with strong customer service skills, flexibility, and a desire to learn new technologies. We will provide training for any technical areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform daily checks of assigned customer technology throughout the day using a provided form
- Document all issues found in the provided form and in a ticketing system called ServiceNow
- Repair minor issues and assign more complex issues to a Level 2 technician
- Operate and test daily functionality of all AV in integrated conference rooms, as well as other assigned technology
- Assist with company meetings/functions that require the use of AV infrastructure
- Setup and breakdown of assigned onsite meetings
- Responsible for escalating all “next level” break-fix issues to the appropriate resource for resolution
- Ensure AV spaces are presentable for use
- Other duties assigned as needed
Skills and Abilities
- Extensive customer service background in the retail or hospitality industries would be a plus
- Willingness to be flexible and open to change
- Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to test equipment and perform basic troubleshooting
- Ability to work and think independently, and ensure deadlines are met
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control is a plus
- Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated working knowledge of AV practices and procedures is a plus
- Videoconferencing experience, including operation call set-up and equipment, a plus
- Experience and knowledge of web conferencing tools such as MS Teams, a plus
Working Environment
- 100% onsite role at a customer site in Dallas, TX.
